About the Art Teacher Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher to join our dynamic team at a well-established secondary school in Stoke on Trent. The successful Art Teacher will have the opportunity to inspire students across Key Stage 3, 4, and potentially 5, teaching a range of art forms including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital arts.

As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, supporting student development, and contributing to the overall academic growth of the department. You will be part of a collaborative environment where you can share ideas and innovate in your teaching practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including art exhibitions and school events.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for Art and creative expression.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Previous experience as an Art Teacher at secondary level.
