Role: Art Teacher

As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students in their study of art. You will support students in developing a well-rounded understanding of artistic techniques, history, and theory. Your role will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and meaningful Art lessons to students of various age groups (KS3, KS4).
  • Encouraging students to apply artistic skills and creativity in various projects.
  • Supporting students in their artistic development, providing guidance and encouragement when needed.
  • Collaborating with other members of staff to ensure a holistic approach to education.
  • Contributing to the development of the Art curriculum.
  • Participating in the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Art.
  • Ensuring the effective delivery of the Art syllabus.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment within the Art department.

Key Qualities We Are Looking For:

  • A strong passion for Art and a desire to support students' artistic development.
  • A recognized teaching qualification in Art, or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching Art to secondary-aged students is highly desirable.
  • A passion for developing young people creatively and academically.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a vibrant and creative team.
