Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Swinton, S64
Pay Rate: £155 £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join a supportive school in Swinton. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can bring energy, imagination, and creativity into the classroom while supporting pupils in developing artistic confidence and skill.

Role Overview:

As an Art Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages. You will encourage students to express themselves, explore different media, and understand artistic techniques and cultural influences.

Responsibilities as an Art Teacher:

  • Teach the Art curriculum using a range of traditional and digital media.
  • Inspire creativity and self-expression through project-based learning.
  • Provide guidance on techniques, design principles, and visual communication.
  • Support pupils in developing their portfolios and preparing for assessments.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Contribute to school exhibitions, displays, and enrichment activities.

Requirements for the Art Teacher role:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Art in a school setting.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to foster creativity, curiosity, and artistic confidence.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
