Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

Brief description:
Inspire creativity through Art in a specialist setting for students with SEMH needs.

About the school:
A secondary special school supporting students aged 11-16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school offers a nurturing, therapeutic environment with a strong focus on individual learning, emotional growth, and positive behaviour.

About the role:
The Art Teacher will deliver engaging and accessible lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, encouraging self-expression, confidence, and skill development. You will contribute to a creative curriculum that supports both academic and emotional progress.

• Plan and teach a broad Art curriculum
• Foster a safe, creative, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support students with SEMH needs through art-based approaches
• Work collaboratively with staff to promote student wellbeing

Requirements -
The ideal candidate would have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
• Experience teaching Art, ideally in a SEN or SEMH setting
• Patience, creativity, and excellent classroom management
• Strong commitment to inclusion and safeguarding
• Ability to motivate and engage learners with complex needs
