Job description

How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four? Our colleagues' wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we're always looking for new ways to improve everyone's work/life balance. We're taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent). If the trial is a success, we'll be rolling the 4DWW out across the Group - so there's never been a more exciting time to join!

Job title: Art Teacher

Salary: Up to GBP36,925 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

Location: Glebedale School, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 3AY

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

UK Applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for an Art Teacher to join our team at Glebedale School in Stoke-on-Trent.

About the role

Through your knowledge and passion, you will have a real impact on the lives of pupils and young people. Taking responsibility for their learning, you will motivate, inspire, and help them develop essential skills for their future.

As a dynamic and motivated Art teacher, you will respond to the needs of each individual, helping them flourish and thrive. Your work will be challenging and rewarding, working with individual and small groups of pupils in a school that maintains a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected, and involved in decisions.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, developing innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the classroom. Working with us allows you to work creatively, utilizing extensive resources and support.

  • You will be a passionate teacher and a great communicator, comfortable engaging with pupils and contributing to the school's vision.
  • Our schools are unique environments with their own atmospheres, opportunities, and resources. Teachers enjoy becoming part of their school's 'family', exploring the environment, and getting to know our pupils.
  • You will build caring relationships and liaise with colleagues and professionals from other educational backgrounds.
  • You should have excellent written English skills and a passion for collaborative work within our multidisciplinary team.
  • Grade C or above in Maths and English, along with a relevant teaching qualification.
