Job Description:

An Outstanding Mixed school in Enfield is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful Art Teacher will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to explore their artistic talents and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering various artistic disciplines.
• Prepare students for GCSE Art and Design examinations, fostering their creative and technical skills.
• Maintain a stimulating and inclusive studio environment encouraging experimentation and self-expression.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum development and create enriching learning experiences.
• Encourage participation in extracurricular art clubs and creative projects.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialization in Art and Design.
• Experience teaching Art at secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
• Strong knowledge of diverse art forms, techniques, and historical contexts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire students.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs.
• Commitment to collaborative work and a supportive arts department ethos.
