Job summary

Shiplake College invites applications for a creative and enthusiastic Teacher of Art to cover a maternity leave period starting January 2027. The role sits in a renowned Art Department housed in the John Turner building, with bright classrooms and excellent facilities.

The successful candidate will teach ceramics, printmaking, painting and drawing to a high standard, and may teach across key stages or across the full age range.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach ceramics, printmaking, painting and drawing to a high standard.
• Experience across key stages or willingness to develop teaching across the full age range.
• Committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning; able to inspire pupils.

Responsibilities

• Teach Art to pupils aged 11–18 across key stages.
• Contribute to the development of the Art Department and curriculum.
• Foster creativity, achievement and a love of art within a boarding environment.
