Job Description:

A creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher is sought by a well-regarded Independent co-educational school in Brent. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 to 5 to develop their artistic skills, creativity, and appreciation for a diverse range of art forms and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, covering various artistic disciplines.
  • Develop students' skills in a wide range of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Art, providing constructive feedback to guide their artistic development.
  • Contribute to the enrichment of the school's artistic environment through displays, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Art and Design.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Art at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4), with A-Level experience being advantageous.
  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of artistic disciplines, historical contexts, and contemporary practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering a vibrant and creative learning environment for students.
  • Inner London Payscale.
