Are you a passionate and innovative Art Teacher eager to inspire creativity in a Boys' secondary school in Hammersmith? We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our Art department, starting September 2025. This is a chance to develop the artistic skills and appreciation of art in young men, fostering their creativity and self-expression.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Art lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following the National Curriculum and relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and digital art, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Art and Design examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and resources, ensuring it is inclusive and reflects the diverse interests of our students.
  • Foster a love of art in students, encouraging them to develop their artistic skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities such as art clubs, exhibitions, and visits to galleries and museums.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art and Design.
