A vibrant secondary school in Sunderland is seeking a dynamic and creative Art Teacher to join their Arts Faculty from September 2025. The school has a strong emphasis on expressive subjects and regularly showcases student work through exhibitions, public events, and competitions.

About the Role:
You will teach a full Art timetable across KS3 and KS4, with the option to teach A-Level Fine Art depending on experience. The role offers the chance to lead community-based art projects and support cross-curricular creativity.

Key Features:

  • Deliver practical, engaging Art lessons that spark imagination and skill

  • Guide students through GCSE and/or A-Level coursework and sketchbooks

  • Lead extracurriculars such as Art Club, mural projects, and gallery partnerships

  • Collaborate with colleagues in drama and music for joint showcases

  • Curate displays and exhibitions in and outside school

Candidate Requirements:

  • A relevant Art degree with QTS

  • Portfolio of personal or student artwork desirable

  • Knowledge of multiple media (drawing, paint, sculpture, digital)

  • Strong classroom management and enthusiasm for creativity
