Job Opportunity: Teacher of Art

Stamford School is seeking a passionate Teacher of Art to join our dedicated Art department. This full-time, fixed-term position is a maternity cover starting September 2025.

The teacher will be responsible for delivering Art education to students across various year groups, following the schemes of work. It is vital that the teacher serves as a positive role model and prepares students for life beyond school.

The role reports to the Head of Department and involves maintaining high-quality teaching, fostering student development, and inspiring students of all abilities. Support and training are provided, with opportunities for professional growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching classes across different age and ability ranges.
• Engaging with Continuing Professional Development.
• Promoting inclusive teaching practices and equality.
• Building effective relationships with staff, students, and parents.

Qualifications and experience required:

• A good honours degree in a related subject and postgraduate certificate in education (QTS).
• Experience with GCSE and Sixth Form students.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Knowledge of current issues in young people's personal development.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
