Job description

Art Teacher needed for an SEN School in Southall


TLTP are recruiting for an Art Teacher to teach students with autism in a specialist school in Southall.


This specialist school is for students aged 4-22. Situated in Southall, West London, it caters for autism and/or other additional needs.


You will need to have QTS and some SEN experience ideally:


  • The teacher will be responsible for the progress of all pupils in their specialism.
  • The teacher will coordinate the work of SEN TAs and provide direct teaching to meet the needs of the class and pupils.
  • Adopt a holistic approach to pupils, utilizing social care and teaching strategies to meet needs while promoting interest, safety, and well-being.
  • Deliver pupil-focused and creative lessons according to the timetable.

Teachers Must Have


  • Commitment to the development of both self and pupils.
  • QTS qualification.
  • Ability to deliver outstanding teaching alongside a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience leading in your subject area with clear strategies for achieving progress.
  • Aiming to ensure pupils fulfill their potential with ambitious expectations.
  • A calm demeanor and good sense of humor under pressure.
  • Understanding and commitment to safeguarding children.
