Job description

We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated Art Teacher to join an inspiring and inclusive school community. This is an excellent opportunity to nurture students’ creativity and imagination, and to lead engaging art lessons that promote self-expression, confidence, and cultural awareness. Beginning September 2025.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver high-quality art lessons that are accessible, engaging, and challenging.
  2. Teach a range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art.
  3. Support students in building technical skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
  4. Prepare students for assessments such as GCSE or A-Level Art & Design.
  5. Contribute to displays, exhibitions, and whole-school creative events.
  6. Promote the value of the arts within the school and wider community.
  7. Monitor and report on pupil progress effectively.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related subject.
  • Passion for the arts and the ability to inspire creativity in young people.
  • Experience in delivering a broad and inclusive art curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
