Full-Time Art Teacher – Portsmouth, Hampshire

Are you passionate about nurturing artistic expression in young minds? A vibrant secondary school in Portsmouth is seeking a Full-Time Art Teacher to join their creative team from September 2025. With a competitive annual salary between £30,000 and £50,000 (depending on experience), this role offers an exciting chance to share your passion for the arts while making a meaningful impact in students' lives.

This inclusive and forward-thinking school welcomes Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced professionals. A school tour will be arranged for shortlisted candidates, offering a chance to explore the environment before progressing to the formal interview stage. Interviews will be held in the coming weeks.

Responsibilities of the Art Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging and imaginative Art lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where creativity can thrive.
  • Encourage students to explore various artistic techniques and mediums.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school exhibitions.
Requirements of the Art Teacher:
  • QTS, ECT, or experienced educators.
  • Experience teaching Art at the secondary school level.
  • A passion for Art and the ability to inspire creativity in young learners.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
