Job description

Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: OldhamSalary Range: £155 - £210 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are on the lookout for an imaginative Art Teacher to join a vibrant school in Oldham. This is your chance to bring colour, creativity, and critical thinking into the classroom, helping students express themselves through visual arts.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons in Art across the students.
  • Encourage students’ artistic expression using a range of materials and techniques.
  • Assess and track student progress, offering feedback and support to promote improvement.
  • Organise and display student artwork throughout the school.
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, respect, and artistic exploration.
  • Collaborate with staff on school-wide events and exhibitions.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience of teaching Art in a school setting.
  • A strong portfolio of your own work and/or examples of previous student success.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a creative teaching approach.
  • Passion for the arts and inspiring young minds.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
