Job title: Art Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: The Tower School, Epping, CM16 4BA
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
Contract: Fixed Term - Maternity Cover, Term Time only
Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking an experienced Art Teacher to join our close-knit team at The Tower School in Epping.

About The Role

The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and learning in Art, capable of motivating pupils and developing staff within a collaborative and supportive team. You will inspire effective teaching and learning, understand the importance of data to track pupil progress, and utilize a range of evaluation strategies to develop success across all aspects of the role.

Responsibilities include planning, delivering, and teaching pupils or small groups in accordance with the School’s Curriculum framework, monitoring and reporting on pupil progress, managing challenging behavior, and working effectively with colleagues.

Essential:
  • Teaching up to BTEC Level 2 certificate in Art across KS3/4/5
Qualifications Required:
  • QTS
  • Experience working in an SEN Educational Setting
  • Passion for Art

The Tower School is a special independent day school for pupils aged 11–18 with a primary diagnosis of Autism. Our dedicated team works to ensure successful outcomes for pupils, often arriving with challenging views of education and life.
