Become a Cornerstone of Creativity: Teacher of Art at an Outstanding Southampton School (September 2025 - Including A-Level)

More than just a teaching position, this is an opportunity to become an integral part of a warm, welcoming, and highly supportive academic community at our outstanding school located in the vibrant and culturally rich city of Southampton. We're seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teacher of Art to join us in September 2025, someone who is not only passionate about their subject but also deeply invested in the intellectual development, creative expression, and aesthetic appreciation of our students across Key Stage 3 and, importantly, Key Stage 4 and 5.

As a valued member of our team, commencing in September 2025, with a significant contribution to A-Level teaching, you will:

* Nurture Artistic Confidence: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to experiment, innovate, and develop their unique artistic voices across all key stages.

* Collaborate with Dedicated Professionals: Work alongside a team of passionate and experienced educators who are committed to a shared vision of academic excellence and student success in the visual arts.

* Contribute to a Positive Ethos: Embrace our school's inclusive and collaborative culture, where every member of staff is valued, and their contributions to the intellectual and pastoral life of the school are recognised within the Southampton community.

* Make a Real Difference: Have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and guide them on their journey to becoming confident, articulate, and imaginative individuals, particularly as they progress through their A-Level studies.

* Enjoy a Supportive Work Environment: Benefit from a leadership team that prioritises staff well-being, provides excellent professional development opportunities in Art pedagogy, and fosters a strong sense of community within our Southampton school and the Art department, with specific support for A-Level teaching and enrichment activities.

We're looking for a qualified Art teacher who is not only an excellent practitioner but also a caring and supportive individual with a passion for fostering creativity and aesthetic understanding, with the ability to inspire and challenge A-Level students. If you're seeking a school in Southampton where you can truly make a difference in the lives of young people through Art, including significant Key Stage 5 involvement, and feel a strong sense of belonging within a thriving department, we'd be thrilled to hear from you for a September 2025 start.

Shape the next generation of creative thinkers and artists in Southampton - a rewarding role with A-Level teaching awaits, starting September 2025
