Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Barnsley. The role focuses on delivering engaging Art lessons across KS3/KS4, with KS5 experience desirable, inspiring creativity and artistic development.

The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development, support extracurricular activities, and foster an inclusive learning environment that motivates students of all abilities. QTS or equivalent required.

• Degree in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a related subject.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Art curriculum.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable; ECTs are encouraged to apply.

• Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and departmental initiatives.
• Support extracurricular activities, art clubs, competitions, and school exhibitions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
