We are seeking a skilled Art Teacher to join a secondary team on a maternity cover basis starting in November 2025.

Duties as an Art Teacher:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Support students in developing their practical and creative skills across different artistic disciplines
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress effectively
  • Maintain an organised and inspiring classroom and studio environment
  • Encourage and support students to experiment, explore, and take creative risks in their work
  • Contribute to departmental displays, exhibitions, and school events showcasing students’ artwork
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects where appropriate
  • Ensure high standards of behaviour, engagement, and achievement within the classroom
Ideal Art Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Art across KS3 and KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to foster a positive learning environment
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills as an Art Teacher
