DT & Art Teacher – Chatham | Specialist SEMH Provision | Ages 11–16 | Small Class Sizes | Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated Design Technology and Art Teacher to join our specialist team supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About us: We are a nurturing and inclusive school for students aged 11–16 who require additional support due to SEMH challenges. Our approach is therapeutic, personalised, and focused on building trust, confidence, and achievement.

The Role

As our DT & Art Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that spark creativity and practical skills. You’ll work with small groups of up to 4 students, supported at all times by a dedicated Teaching Assistant, ensuring a safe and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver differentiated DT and Art lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Collaborate with TAs, therapists, and wider staff to support holistic development.
  • Use creativity to inspire students and help them express themselves through practical and artistic projects.
