Job description

We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join a dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about inspiring students to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills. Beginning September 2025.

Art Teacher Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging art lessons that cater to a range of abilities.

  • Develop schemes of work that encourage creativity and critical thinking.

  • Organise and display students’ artwork within the school and at exhibitions.

  • Support students in developing their portfolios, where applicable.

  • Promote an inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.

  • Monitor, assess and record student progress and provide constructive feedback.

  • Contribute to the wider school community through clubs, trips or collaborative projects.

Ideal Art Teacher:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent).

  • A degree in Art, Fine Art or a related discipline.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for art education.

  • Excellent classroom management skills as an Art Teacher.

  • The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
