We are seeking a talented and committed Art Teacher to join a highly successful and innovative Art & Design department at a forward-thinking secondary school in Basingstoke. The role is available from September 2025, and the position is suitable for experienced teachers or confident ECTs with strong creative flair.
The Role:
You will teach Art at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities to teach A-Level depending on experience. The school places a high value on creativity and visual literacy, with students regularly entering regional exhibitions and national competitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a broad and engaging curriculum in Art, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media
Plan and assess coursework and projects at GCSE and/or A-Level
Develop student confidence, expression, and artistic identity
Contribute to extra-curricular enrichment, including art clubs and showcases
Work closely with colleagues to integrate themes across the creative arts faculty
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant Art or Fine Art degree
Strong portfolio of work and an understanding of diverse art movements and techniques
Ability to motivate and inspire learners of all abilities
Commitment to inclusive education and departmental collaboration
