Qualifications

Are you passionate about unlocking creativity and helping students express themselves through visual art?

A vibrant school in Abingdon is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join their vibrant and well-resourced Creative Arts department. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach and nurture young artists across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience. This role is for September 2025.

Duties as Art Teacher:
  • Deliver imaginative and inspiring lessons in a range of media (drawing, painting, print, sculpture, digital etc.)
  • Encourage creativity, critical thinking and self-expression
  • Support students in developing strong technical and conceptual skills
  • Assess, track and support progress in line with curriculum and exam board requirements
  • Contribute to school displays, art exhibitions, competitions and enrichment clubs
  • Help foster a culture where the arts are celebrated and accessible to all
Ideal Art Teacher:
  • QTS and a degree in Art, Fine Art or a related subject
  • A passion for art education and inspiring young people
  • Strong subject knowledge and practical expertise across multiple media
  • An inclusive approach to teaching and high expectations for all learners
  • Great communication, classroom management and teamwork skills as an Art Teacher.
  • (Desirable) Experience delivering GCSE or A-Level Art
