This is a full-time position until the end of the academic year, with potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.

You ll be delivering engaging and inspiring Art and Photography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop technical skills, creative confidence, and a strong understanding of visual language. The school boasts excellent art facilities, including studio space and digital photography equipment, making it a fantastic environment for a teacher passionate about their subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Art and Photography lessons that are both practical and theory-based.
  • Foster a love for visual arts, encouraging experimentation and self-expression.
  • Support students in building their coursework portfolios and preparing for assessments.
  • Contribute to whole-school events such as exhibitions, showcases, and arts weeks.
  • Provide a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification. Specialism in Art and/or Photography.
  • Experience teaching Art and Photography at KS3 and KS4 (GCSE). A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills. A genuine passion for the visual arts and working with young people.
