Job description

In this exciting role, you will have the amazing opportunity to work in an outstanding school environment in Westminster, starting in April. We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Art/DT teacher to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons in Art and Design Technology. Responsibilities
  1. Plan and deliver high-quality Art and Design Technology lessons in line with the school's curriculum guidelines.
  2. Inspire and engage students in the subject, fostering a love for art and creativity.
  3. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  4. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student participation and collaboration.
  5. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate cross-curricular projects and activities.
  6. Organize and participate in extracurricular art programs and events, such as exhibitions and showcases.
  7. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behavior.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Art or a related subject.
  2. Proven experience teaching Art and Design Technology at the primary or secondary level.
  3. Strong knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for Art and Design Technology.
  4. Ability to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that cater to students of varying abilities.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  6. A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and supports all students.
  7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and resources.

Salary: Paid to scale on MPS / UPS
