MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

London South East College is looking for a highly motivated individual to maintain the work in the Art and Design department across campuses to support learner achievement.

The role of the Art and Design Technician is key in the department, with the maintenance of teaching areas being vital to learner success.

The successful candidate will work flexibly across campuses to prepare and maintain equipment and resources for classes and teachers.

They will oversee the safe storage of resources and contribute to the achievement of learners.

The role also involves improving customer service quality within the department, providing advice on technical issues, and conducting practical demonstrations for small groups of students.

The candidate will support cover teaching in staff absence and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ensuring a safe working environment by updating Risk and COSHH assessments regularly is also essential.
