GSL Education London Branch are delighted to be recruiting for an Art & Design Technician to join an inspiring all-through secondary school and sixth form in Newham. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Art & Design Technician who wants to play a vital role in shaping a creative learning environment.
As an Art & Design Technician, you will:
Prepare, organise and maintain materials and equipment for Art & Design lessons
Support teachers and students during practical sessions, including demonstrations
Ensure the art studios and resources are kept clean, safe and well stocked
Assist with displays of student artwork around the school
Help manage and order stock and supplies for the department
Support the setting up of exhibitions and special art events
Requirements for the Art & Design Technician role:
Previous experience in a similar Art & Design Technician role or within an Art & Design department
Good knowledge of using and maintaining art equipment and materials
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A creative and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning
Strong commitment to student safety and well-being
