Are you a creative and inspiring Art & Design Teacher with the ability to unlock artistic potential and foster innovative expression in students within an independent setting? We are partnering with a highly regarded Independent school in Harrow that is looking for a fantastic temporary, part-time Art & Design Teacher to join their vibrant Arts department, starting ASAP. This is a wonderful opportunity to cultivate students' artistic talents and appreciation for diverse artistic forms across Key Stages 3 and 4, with exciting potential for Key Stage 5.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be designing and delivering engaging Art & Design lessons, covering a wide range of mediums, techniques, and art historical periods.
  • It's about encouraging creativity, critical analysis of art, and individual expression through practical projects.
  • You'll support and lead various artistic initiatives and contribute to the school's thriving extra-curricular arts programme and exhibitions.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Art & Design.
  • Experience teaching engaging and effective Art & Design lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
  • Strong practical artistic skills and a broad knowledge of art history and contemporary art.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a genuine passion for inspiring artistic talent.
