Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a Technician to support art and visual arts learning. You will prepare materials, set up studios, and assist with practical student projects and exhibitions. The role is full-time (37 hours weekly across 52 weeks) and involves working closely with teaching staff.

• Good understanding of art materials, tools, equipment and creative processes.
• Strong organisational skills and effective management of resources.
• Good communication skills and confidence supporting staff and students.

• Creative mindset and enthusiasm for supporting students' artistic development.

Responsabilités

• Prepare art materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons and workshops.
• Support staff and students with creative projects across art and visual arts.
• Set up and maintain studios, workshops and specialist learning spaces.
• Assist with the safe use of art equipment, materials and practical processes.
• Monitor stock levels, order supplies and keep storage areas organised.
• Carry out routine cleaning, maintenance and checks of equipment and workspaces.
• Support student exhibitions, displays, creative projects and college events.
• Keep studios and workshops safe, tidy and ready for teaching.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including safe handling and storage of materials.
• Work closely with teaching staff on practical learning.
