Job description
Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher for a one-year maternity cover contract, on a full-time or part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and innovative trust, where you will have the opportunity to create meaningful and lasting change in the lives of some of the most vulnerable students in Buckinghamshire.

We seek to employ teachers who believe that young people, especially those who have been excluded or who have had negative experiences in education, need to be in a nurturing and loving environment, to feel valued and cared for, and to have teachers who believe in them. We know this work isn\'t always easy. You need to be calm in the face of challenging behaviour, to always see the best in a young person, and to find something to love in them, no matter what.

We have high expectations of our young people, in terms of their behaviour, social development, and academic achievement. Our students often have complex backgrounds, and/or a number of unmet special educational needs. When they receive the right support, they are capable of great things. We are looking for someone who will help us raise standards even further, and who will love our students, and help them achieve extraordinary things.

Responsibilities
  • Support vulnerable students and contribute to raising behaviour, social development, and academic achievement within the school.
  • Provide a nurturing, calm, and consistent environment for students, including those with complex needs or past negative educational experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within an ambitious and innovative trust to raise standards and help students achieve extraordinary outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Qualified teacher with the ability to work with students who have experienced exclusions or challenging educational experiences.
  • Commitment to building positive, supportive relationships with students and maintaining high expectations.
