Art and Photography Technician

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 FTE

Location: Hertfordshire

Contract Type: Fixed Term, Term Time Only

Start Date: September 2025

Are you a creative, organised, and proactive individual with a passion for the arts and photography? Academics is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in Hertfordshire, seeking a dedicated Art and Photography Technician to join their dynamic and supportive department from September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the Art and Photography departments with the preparation of materials, resources, and equipment.

* Maintain, organise, and monitor stock and supplies.

* Assist in the setup and take-down of classroom displays and exhibitions.

* Provide technical support to students and staff during practical lessons.

* Maintain specialist equipment, including darkroom and digital photography resources.

* Help ensure health and safety procedures are followed in all practical areas.

Requirements:

* A background in Art, Photography, or a related creative field.

* Good working knowledge of cameras, digital editing software (e.g., Photoshop), and traditional art materials.

* Excellent organisational and communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
