Art and Photography Teacher
Location: Totteridge and Whetstone

We are currently looking for a passionate and committed Part-Time Art and Photography Teacher for an independent SEMH school in North London.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced teacher to deliver GCSE and BTEC qualifications in a supportive and therapeutic environment, where creativity plays a key role in student engagement and emotional development.
Our client is a small, nurturing independent school that specialises in providing tailored education for students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs. The school offers a trauma-informed approach and a highly personalised curriculum, placing a strong emphasis on the arts as a tool for self-expression and growth.
Plan and deliver engaging Art and Photography lessons at GCSE and BTEC Level 1/2.
Inspire learners through a creative and practical curriculum that supports both academic and emotional development.
Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of students with a wide range of learning profiles and SEMH challenges.
Work collaboratively with pastoral and SEN teams to provide a holistic and consistent approach to student support.
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching experience in Art and/or Photography.
Proven experience of delivering GCSE and/or BTEC qualifications.
A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH needs.
Creative, resilient, and passionate about making a positive impact through the arts.
Able to build strong, respectful relationships with students and staff.
A caring and inclusive working environment within a close-knit staff team.
