About The School : We are partnered with a specialist SEN school in Peterborough, providing education and support for pupils aged 5-19 with a range of needs including autism spectrum conditions, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school is also committed to nurturing creativity and hands-on learning in a supportive, inclusive environment.

The Role:We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Art and DT Teacher to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to pupils with diverse needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Art and DT lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs
• Use a creative and flexible approach to engage pupils with varying abilities and learning styles
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to create a positive, structured classroom environment
• Contribute to curriculum development and school-wide art/DT projects and displays
• Track and assess progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
• Support pupils' personal, social, and emotional development through creative activities
• Ensure a safe learning environment by following appropriate health and safety procedures

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Has experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology (experience in an SEN setting is an advantage but not essential)
• Is creative, patient, and adaptable, with excellent behaviour management skills
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
• Is committed to inclusive education and supporting the needs of every learner
• Is enthusiastic about using visual arts and practical skills to inspire confidence and independence
