About the Art Teacher Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Art Teacher to join our dedicated Art department. The successful Art Teacher will have the opportunity to teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and a love for visual expression.

What you'll do as an Art Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Art lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and artistic abilities.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills.
  • Teach a variety of Art techniques and media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
  • Encourage students to engage with Art history and contemporary art practices.
  • Organise and participate in school exhibitions and art events.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Art, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and departmental resources, ensuring that our teaching remains current and engaging.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Art teaching.

What you'll need to be a successful Art Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
