We are looking for an inspiring educator who can foster students' artistic talents and develop a strong understanding of visual culture within a rigorous academic environment.

About Our Learning Community: Our school provides a stimulating and academically rich environment with a strong commitment to the arts. The Art department boasts well-equipped studios for a variety of disciplines, including painting, sculpture, photography, and digital media.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and varied Art and Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, potentially specialising in one or more areas based on your expertise.
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that encourage creativity, experimentation with different media, and critical analysis of artistic works.
  • Assess student progress through project work, sketchbooks, and presentations, providing detailed and constructive feedback to support their artistic development.
  • Contribute to school art exhibitions and potentially lead extracurricular art clubs or workshops.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Art and Design or a related field.
  • A strong knowledge of art history, theory, and a range of artistic techniques.

  • Access to well-equipped art studios and resources within a supportive independent school environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and engagement with the arts community.
