About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and varied Art and Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a broad range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and digital media.
• Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that encourage experimentation with different media, the development of technical skills, and critical analysis of artistic works from diverse cultures and historical periods.
• Assess student progress through project work, sketchbooks, presentations, and written analysis, providing detailed and constructive feedback to support their artistic and intellectual development.
• Contribute to school art exhibitions, potentially leading extracurricular art clubs or workshops, and fostering links with the local arts community.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Art and Design or a related field.
• A strong knowledge of art history, theory, and a wide range of artistic techniques and processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and practical skills, with proficiency in relevant art software and technologies.
• A passion for inspiring students through art, fostering their individual creative expression, and developing their critical thinking skills in relation to visual culture.
• Competitive salary (MPS/UPS + Inner London Weighting) commensurate with experience.
