Job Title: Art & Design Teacher

Contract: Full-time

Are you a versatile and dedicated Art & Design Teacher ready to make a significant impact on the education of students in Sunderland? Our schools are seeking adaptable Qualified Art & Design Teachers to join our team and provide high-quality education to students across various subjects and age groups.

Position Overview:

As a Fully Qualified Art & Design Teacher in Sunderland, you will play a pivotal role in educating and inspiring students. Your adaptability and dedication to fostering students' academic growth are essential in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Responsibilities:
  1. Teaching: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum for Key Stage 2.
  2. Instruction: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and create an inclusive classroom environment.
  3. Versatility: Foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  4. Evaluation: Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and enhance student progress.
  5. Engagement: Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a collaborative learning community.
  6. Adaptability: Contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider school community.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in ART/DESIGN or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching students.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and key stage expectations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for creating a positive and dynamic learning environment.
The ideal candidate will:
  • Be proactive, energetic, kind, and caring.
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to go through the process with us).
  • Have a fully checkable work history.
  • Possess a valid driving license.
  • Preferably have business insurance and be committed long-term.
  • Be in good mental and physical health, resilient, and reliable.
  • Be able to work with vulnerable and challenging pupils in a school environment.
