Art and Design Teacher

Location: Sandwell

Start Date: September 2025

Do you have a passion for art and a talent for inspiring young creatives? Teaching Personnel is currently supporting secondary schools in the Sandwell area that are looking for an enthusiastic Art specialist to join their vibrant teaching community.

The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in students’ learning journeys.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Art lessons to secondary pupils
  2. Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support
  3. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  4. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
  5. Maintain high expectations of student behaviour and achievement

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  2. Proven experience teaching Art at the secondary level, including photography
  3. Excellent communication and organisational skills
  4. A proactive and flexible approach to teaching
  5. Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent later.
