Maternity Cover, Fixed Term up to 1 year
Part time, 31.45 hours per week
£23,399 - £27,958 per annum (£29,249 - £34,948 pro rata)

Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking to appoint a dedicated and inspiring Teacher of Art and Design as a maternity cover for up to one year.

In this role, you will be course leader for level 1 and 2 Art and Design, you'll contribute to achieving excellence in teaching and learning through innovative and excellent practice within an exciting and specialist subject area. You will be expected to create effective and stimulating learning opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment.

You will deliver teaching and learning on all levels, course leading Level 1 and 2, with some hours on the Level 3 programmes in art and design and offer current and relevant industry/practitioner skills.

To work within a dedicated team and very successful school of Art, Design and Fashion to expand and develop specialist art, design skills alongside creative digital skills to meet the needs of employers and the creative sector.

You must be able to teach a range of specialist traditional art & design skills including drawing, painting, general 3D, ceramics, with some digital skills at an advantage.

Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
