Job Description:

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Arrears Monitoring and Repossession Coordinator for a local authority based in East London.

In this role, you will support residents in financial difficulty by monitoring arrears, preventing repossessions, and connecting them with the right services to help them stay in their homes.

Key Duties:

  • Monitor rent arrears and take appropriate action to prevent escalation.
  • Provide tailored advice and support to residents facing financial hardship.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate effective interventions.
  • Manage repossession cases in line with legal requirements and council policy.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience in income recovery, arrears management, or housing services.
  • Working with vulnerable individuals, providing advice and support on financial issues.
  • Knowledge of welfare benefits, debt solutions, and tenancy law.
  • Liaising with internal departments and external support agencies effectively.

What's on offer:

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
