A governmental department is seeking a Deployable Operational Analyst to provide operational analysis to support decision-making within the British Army. The role includes deploying on exercises and operations, leading analysis efforts, and working closely with military stakeholders. Candidates should possess a relevant degree or extensive relevant experience, and must attain Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. The Field Army Operational Research Branch (ORB) uses analytical techniques to support better decision making. The ORB’s Operational Analysis team supports the Field Army on exercises and operations, deploying in support of Field Army and NATO formations, in the UK or overseas.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
As a Deployable Operational Analyst, you will be a member of the ORBs Operational Analysis Team. This role provides opportunities to work embedded within British Army formation Headquarters. You will deploy on exercises/operations to lead the provision of operational analysis to support planning and decision-making with formations such as 1st (UK) Division, 3rd (UK) Division and HQ Allied Rapid Reaction Corps. Your time will be split between desk-based work (approximately 60%) and deployed work on exercises/operations with the Army (approximately 40%).
