Our Wealth Management teams provide a range of services to support key life events, such as saving for education, buying a home, retiring, and protecting families. We support every aspect of a customer’s financial life, offering tailored, relationship-based services with a comprehensive understanding of our clients' needs.

The main purpose of the Area Wealth Director role is to implement the Wealth strategy and achieve business objectives. You will lead and foster a customer-first culture by coaching, mentoring, and supervising a team of Wealth Managers and Analysts.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring team compliance, sales quality, and professional standards, acting as the first line of defense in regulatory adherence.
  • Influencing Partners to maximize Wealth opportunities, ensuring customers are served by appropriate advisors.
  • Managing performance through feedback and development planning, recognizing achievements, and addressing performance issues.
  • Delivering needs-based financial solutions and supporting holistic financial planning.
  • Developing effective relationships with team members and stakeholders.

To succeed, you should meet these requirements:

  • QCF Level 4 qualification with advice-giving authorization (FCA Activity 4).
  • Current Competent Adviser Status (CAS) under UK FCA jurisdiction, or previous CAS with ongoing CPD and assessment records.
  • Market awareness to stay updated with market changes and maintain high business standards.
  • Understanding of conduct risks and HSBC business standards.
  • Expertise in holistic financial planning and wealth products.
  • Ability to promote customer value and high-quality service.
  • Understanding of Wealth & Premier propositions and consistent application of principles.
