Job summary

Infinite Group is seeking an Area Visual Merchandiser North to lead in-store displays across major retailers in the North England region. You will ensure branded spaces align with client briefs, optimize shelf presentation and report outcomes to management.

The role requires strong VM experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and travel across the territory. A 10% annual bonus and £5,400 car allowance are among the rewards; occasional weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• 2-year dedicated VM regional experience (ideally in apparel)
• High IT skills across the Microsoft suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English and strong communication skills

• Geographical mobility across the territory and access to own car

Job description

Job Title: Area Visual Merchandiser North

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: North England

Base Salary: Competitive

Annual bonus: 10% bonus, paid quarterly

Car Allowance: £5,400 per annum pre tax. Fuel card provided for business mileage.

The Role

As a regional Visual Merchandising expert you will be responsible for the execution of seasonal and campaign guidance across all retailers within your territory. Across the assigned stores, you will take accountability for branded spaces in our client’s portfolio, driving the performance and commercial gains whilst successfully reporting back your impacts and findings. The right candidate would maintain strong partnerships with retailers in order to have a deeper understanding of the store’s needs, enabling the opportunity to influence creative decision making that impacts brand visibility throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities

Communication

• Regular documented feedback and imagery of in-store VM achievements to project management team via inhouse reporting tool and Microsoft teams software.
• Build strong relationships with retail management and in store colleagues to cascade information given by project management through 121 coaching and regular store walk throughs
• Participate in team meetings and conference calls to understand client briefs and give detailed store escalations to project management
• Capture shop floor insight in a concise, realistic and timely manner hitting reporting deadlines and expectations

Merchandising Display

• Drive layout decisions in store, liaising with in store point of contact, utilising directives and retailer stock availability
• Take ownership of VM standards providing an on-brand shopping experience to all consumers
• As a VM for our client you will be responsible for creating impactful Shop-In-Shop consumer experiences emphasizing category presentation
• Implement flawless execution of Marketing activities aligned with clients asks

VM Development

• Attend VM team meetings and any additional product training sessions
• Involvement in development opportunities as requested by Project Management
• Quarterly showroom set up support if requested
• Participation in adhoc projects; new store openings and resets across all concept stores

VM Hours

• Basic Hours to be completed between Mon to Friday, 5 days / week, there may be a need for occasional week-end work
• Hours to be flexible in-line with campaign launches, planned layout changes and out of store opportunities

VM Locations

• Territory includes large towns/cities such as but not exclusive to: Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, York, Hull, Shirebrook.
• Periodically, there are requirements to travel nationally for meetings, project support, training, new store openings and territory variations
• Occasional nights away occur, hotels and subsistence arranged by company
