Job summary

Dogs Trust is seeking an Area Van Driver based at the Brentwood charity shop, covering deliveries and pickups across Essex, Hertfordshire, London, Norfolk, Suffolk and Kent. You will manage time, keep clear records, and provide excellent donor and customer service.

Ideal candidates have a full clean manual driving license and experience with multi-site deliveries. Interviews are provisionally scheduled for 24th September.

Qualifications

• Full clean manual driving license.
• Experience with multi-site deliveries and collections.
• Ability to keep accurate records and manage time to a daily/weekly rota.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick up donated items from households, businesses, or donation stations and deliver to required location.
• Route vehicle with guidance of Retail Area Manager to maximise efficiency.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and secure loads.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage and donation logs and adhere to road safety regulations.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks, refuelling, and keep vehicle clean and roadworthy.
• Represent the charity when interacting with donors and customers, promote Gift Aid and maintain professionalism.
