Role Overview

The Area Transfer Station Manager develops and executes strategies for facilities within their remit, including commodity sales and implementing best practices for excellent customer service. They work closely with the Area Director, Regional General Managers, Depot Managers, and the Commodity Sales team to explore new business opportunities and develop strategies aligned with the division's business plan, overseeing the full P&L of the facilities.

The role requires multitasking, handling live situations promptly, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Experience as Operations Manager or similar in services or logistics.
  • COTC qualification.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of transport and logistics.
  • People management and H&S experience in a unionized environment.
  • Experience in continuous improvement in operations.
  • Understanding of working within time-critical services.
  • Knowledge of environmental and health & safety legislation.
