Job Purpose

To provide technical support across multiple garage locations, filling in where required to maintain workshop productivity, quality of work, and customer satisfaction. This is a mobile role for an experienced technician who thrives on variety and can adapt quickly to different team environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and MOT-related work to a high standard
• Travel between branches to cover staff shortages, holidays, or high workloads
• Support and assist local teams to meet daily workshop targets
• Maintain accurate job records and ensure work is completed on time
• Uphold BEST Autocentres’ standards for customer service and vehicle care
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Communicate effectively with branch managers and other technicians
• Keep up to date with technical developments and training

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification (or equivalent)
• MOT Tester (Class 4) qualification preferred but not essential
• Minimum 3 years of workshop experience
• Confident in diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and servicing
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexible and comfortable working in different branches
• Full UK driving licence
• Self-motivated, professional, and reliable
