Vergo Pest Management Ltd is currently recruiting for a customer-facing Area Support Technician to work in the Sussex and Kent areas. This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced pest control technician to take a first step towards a management position within Vergo Pest Management Ltd. Experience and qualifications in pest control are essential.

You will be at the forefront of our service for commercial and residential properties, visiting customers across your area to perform inspections, treatments, and promote additional work when opportunities arise.

You will also provide training and support to technicians within the team, helping develop their skills and knowledge while also developing your own potential as a future manager.

Main Duties

1. Undertake general pest eradication and treatment services.
2. Record all customer visits via our smartphone app.
3. Oversee training for new starters and existing technicians within the region.
4. Provide technical support daily and support frontline training for technicians.
5. Engage with customers to support business growth.
6. Maximize sales opportunities through self-sold and lead submissions.
7. Assist in planning and implementing the mobilization of new large contracts.
8. Support the Area Manager in maximizing regional productivity.
9. Perform any other duties as required by the business.

Essential Criteria

• Full UK Drivers Licence
• BPCA Accredited Technician in Pest Control
• RSPH Level 2 Award
• Over 2 years of pest control experience
• Good communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Methodical and systematic approach to work
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience in rodent proofing work

Preferred Criteria

• Previous supervisory or management experience is desirable but not essential.
