We are seeking a gas-qualified Area Supervisor to join our busy heating service & repair team.
Overview of Role:
This pivotal role contributes to the delivery of efficient heating system surveys and installations. The individual will assess domestic properties, ensuring solutions meet regulatory standards and customer needs, requiring technical expertise, customer service skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing daily operations of operatives, providing technical support, encouragement, and training to ensure targets are met.
Leading technical discussions during monthly toolbox talks, sharing updates and addressing issues.
Promoting quality work and professional attitudes, fostering employee development and good relations.
Acting as a key contact for clients, resolving issues, and attending site visits.
Ensuring contractual and specific client requirements are met or exceeded.
Communicating procedures and requirements through daily contact and toolbox talks.
Supporting regional training and technical needs, including induction for new engineers.
Working with SHEQ to maintain competency records and identify training needs.
Performing quality checks and safety audits.
Covering for the Regional Manager when required.
Assisting with disciplinary and grievance investigations.
Required Attributes:
NVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilation or equivalent.
ACS certifications, including CCN1 and CENWAT, preferred.
Experience in heating surveys or domestic installations.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail with accurate reporting.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Full UK driving license.
