Job summary

A leading employment agency is seeking an experienced Area Site Technician to ensure quality maintenance and repairs for customer sites in Cheshire Oaks/Chester. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, alongside using a PDA system for coordination. Qualifications

Job description
Overview

Area Site Technician – Cheshire Oaks/Chester. £39,093.85 (salary including on call standby 1:4). Permanent.

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Area Site Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Responsibilities
  • Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites as designated by management (e.g. door repairs, general plumbing tasks, flooring etc).
  • Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance.
  • Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs.
  • Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites as designated by management and helpdesk.
  • Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
Qualifications & Experience
  • NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.
  • City and Guilds 18th Edition.
  • AM2/2391.
  • Full driving license.
  • Experience using a PDA system.
  • Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers and microwaves.
  • Carried out PPM and reactive maintenance within a similar retail environment.
