The Vacancy

Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Electrician (AST)

Location: Fife

Working Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our company to work with one of our major UK supermarket clients.

The role involves maintaining and repairing electrical, mechanical, and catering equipment in retail outlets, undertaking regular store visits for reactive work, PPMs, and minor repairs as requested by the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
• Deliver reactive and planned maintenance for catering and bakery equipment.
• Conduct emergency lighting and fire alarm tests and repairs.
• Perform general repairs and maintenance at customer sites as designated by management.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise the Line Manager with recommendations for replacement.

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential

• NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
• City and Guilds 18th Edition.
• AM2 / 2391

*An additional £1,500 competency payment will be added upon completion of electrical fault training for catering and bakery equipment, provided during the probation period.

The ideal candidate:

• Full driving license.
• Experience using a PDA system.
• Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g., catering/bakery.
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance in a retail environment.
